Danny Federici, 1950 - 2008

Danny Federici, for 40 years the E Street Band's organist and keyboard player, died this afternoon, April 17, 2008 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City after a three year battle with melanoma.

"Danny and I worked together for 40 years - he was the most wonderfully fluid keyboard player and a pure natural musician. I loved him very much...we grew up together."

Con un comunicato sul sito ufficiale del Boss è stata confermata la notizia che molti temevano, Danny Federici il leggendario tastierista della E Street Band non partirà per il tour europeo al via domenica da Madrid. Affetto da più di un anno di melanoma alla pelle rimarrà in america per continuare le terapie.

Un in bocca al lupo enorme per l'uomo prima che il musicista, mercoledì a Milano mancherà un pezzo della famiglia ma dietro quell'organo "The Phantom" sarà con noi. Coraggio Danny, ci vediamo nel 2008.
